Develop writing practices that free your voice and keep your inner critic at bay. Write, read, and be heard within a respectful, non-critiquing circle. Four drop-in sessions, April 7, 14, 21, & 28. Held at Cafe DiCocoa,125 Main St, Bethel. 9:30am - Noon. $10/per session.
We will write from prompts, read aloud, and practice a specific kind of listening that honors the aliveness of language. Our focus will be on the immediacy of the writing experience and the discoveries we make about language, writing, and our own creative process.
When the voice is welcomed and witnessed without judgment, we become more rooted and confident as writers. Writing steadies us, enhancing our creative capacity to face our troubled, changing world. As we write together, we’re reminded of our common ground. We grow stronger and more resilient together.
